The definition of Gorilla marketing strategy is described as using everything at your disposal to create a buzz. When you have a buzz, it would most likely turn viral. Before I continue I want to let you know that the PROPER term would actually be guerilla marketing.
When I think of guerilla marketing I think of New York City. You may see many people dressed in costumes throughout the city promoting products.
The last time I was in New York city I was around a couple of people
dressed as Batman and the Statue of Liberty promoting their services.
For the most part, this method of marketing is unconventional. But it sure gets your attention!
It’s not often you will see reputable companies send out representatives into the middle of the street with gimmicks to attract a large group of people.
Instead, you may see, advertisements like the one above that will literally ATTRACT individuals to it.
It would be even better if they could have a contest where whoever can break the glass can have the bundle of money inside.
They would surely increase the number of people exposed to the product!
True example of guerilla marketing!
Companies who use gorilla marketing strategies usually use small budget techniques to gain mass exposure.
For example, street giveaways, publicity acts, or mobile advertisements are just a few ways to do this. The results of using guerilla marketing tactics can be very rewarding if done properly.
